What is The Social and Behavioral Science Laboratory (SBSL)?
The SBSL facilitates in-depth research in social and behavioral sciences by providing state-of-the-art facilities for NYUSH academics and students. It is a purpose-built facility that provides a controlled experimental environment for the study of human behaviors. The SBSL is managed by the Office of Research and is open to any member of NYUSH.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art physical and online facilities for academic research and teaching in social and behavioral sciences. We aim to
- Support and facilitate original research and interdisciplinary collaboration by providing resources and platforms for study design, participant recruitment, data collection and analysis
- Promote teaching and learning for research purpose
- Communicate results and advocate for resources related to social and behavioral research
SBSL Faculty Advisory Committee
The Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) provides advice to the SBSL on all academic aspects of developing and using the lab. The Committee will represent relevant disciplines and serve as a platform for communication between faculty and the Office of Research. Current members of the FAC include
